ESG | DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION

Encourage discussions on this theme within your organisation with a compassionate and balanced perspective. Cultivate a collaborative environment across the entire team to become catalysts for change, infusing creativity and innovation into your business through diversity.

Warana designs and facilitates programs to immerse companies across various sectors in the benefits of D&I, impacting thousands of individuals. Aligned with the objectives of sustainable development and the ESG agenda, we cultivate behaviours that enable diverse individuals to synergistically collaborate, always striving for optimal outcomes for individuals, organisations, and the world! I invite you to embark on this journey of discovery and achievement with us. Let’s journey together!

Equality vs. Equity

The accompanying image illustrates clearly: while equality denotes identical and equivalent situations for all involved, equity is more closely related to justice, impartiality, and conditions that facilitate equivalence. In the first scenario, everyone receives the same bicycle but cannot achieve the same goal due to preceding privileges. Conversely, in the second scenario, everyone receives what they need so that they end up with the same conditions and reach the same level.

Method: Recognise, Block, and Overcome Biases

In the initial phase, we present the most common biases found in organisations, enabling individuals to recognise them in their daily lives. Subsequently, we bolster self-confidence, empowering individuals to courageously block biases. Finally, we provide strategies for overcoming these biases.

Why Address Biases?

Biases—whether deliberate or unconscious—limit people in the job market from contributing with their full potential and human resources. It becomes increasingly difficult for those outside the dominant group to be hired and promoted, negatively impacting their work experiences. This impedes D&I efforts, making it challenging for companies to perform optimally through collaborative leadership among all individuals in the organization.

Our Programs

Women encounter numerous barriers in the corporate environment. Some believe that by reaching executive positions, these barriers have been overcome, when in reality, they have only been heightened, impeding the performance of these professionals.

In this program, executives have the opportunity to learn strategies and tools to lead effectively and increase their visibility within organisations. Additionally, they will learn how to cultivate and leverage a support network with other participants.

Topics covered include:

  • How to articulate and present relevant ideas in meetings to ensure they are heard and endorsed.
  • Strategies for leveraging affinity bias to establish a network of allies.
  • Techniques for effectively showcasing achievements and results without bias.
  • Strategies for enlisting the support of your family as your strongest allies.

As Verna Myers brilliantly puts it, “Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance.” Yet, in the pursuit of diversity, many organisations overlook the crucial element of inclusion. Our program challenges this status quo. Participants learn to recognise biases, both positive and negative, paving the way for inclusive leadership. By embracing diversity and fostering inclusivity, our leaders drive unparalleled results for their teams, companies, and the planet. Join us on this transformative journey toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

In Australia today, migrants constitute approximately 30% of the population. However, regrettably, many are underutilised in the job market or find themselves in positions below their qualifications, despite Australia facing a shortage of skilled professionals.

The main causes of this issue are immigrants’ lack of confidence in advancing professionally and the prejudice they encounter in the workplace. This program has been designed to address these challenges.
